Description:

APRS, the acronym for the Automatic Packet Reporting System, is an essential tool used by global Amateur Radio operators. APRS Mobile seamlessly brings the world of APRS to your mobile device or tablet through APRS-IS servers, equipped with a built-in map engine, internet connectivity, and GPS capabilities. This application allows users to broadcast their position and track other Amateur Radio operators worldwide.

Non-amateur radio enthusiasts can also utilize APRS Mobile to observe Amateur Radio APRS activity and amateur weather station data from various corners of the globe.

Please note that enabling location services is required for sharing your position with other Amateur Radio operators on APRS-IS when SmartBeacon is active or to maintain map centering on your current position.

Positions posted can also be accessed on other APRS websites such as openaprs.net, aprs.fi, findu.com, and APRSWorld.

Reminder: Sustained use of GPS in the background can have a significant impact on battery life. Additionally, connecting to APRS-IS via cellular data may lead to overages; users are advised to monitor their data usage accordingly.
